AT-1 A day around Antalya (per person / including lunch)
Perge, Aspendos, Old City, Antalya Museum

In the morning we drive to Perge, an important Pamphilian-Roman settlement with a well preserved stadium. We will also see a Roman Baths Complex, Agora and the main avenue of the city. We then continue to Aspendos where we will visit the best preserved Roman theatre in existence.
Following lunch, drive to the center of Antalya and visit the old city around the ancient harbor. Finish the day at Antalya Museum where we can see artifacts recovered from the ancient sites around Antalya.


Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.






AT-2  An Introduction to Lycia (per person / including lunch)
Phaselis, Olympos, Chimarea

In the morning, we first drive to the famous ancient city of Phaselis where Alexander the Great landed to continue his campaign into Asia Minor. Phaselis is located on the sea shore surrounded by the mountains and it has 3 natural harbors which served the city in the ancient times.
After lunch, we continue to the ancient city of Olympos located on the Mediterranean shore and then also see the burning rock of Chimarea located not very far from the ancient city.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

AT-03 Mountains and Waterfalls (per person)
Termessos, Duden Waterfalls

Drive to Termessos which is built on the Taurus Mountains. This is one of the most interesting ancient cities of Asia Minor. It has a breathtaking view of the mountains. Continue to the Duden Waterfalls in Antalya.

Return to the hotel in the early afternoon.

We visit Spice (Egyptian) Bazaar where you can find spice shops selling varieties of spices, nuts, fruit and herbal teas and surely Turkish Delight. Walk across the road to the pier where we catch the ferry for a cruise on the Bosphorus between Europe and Asia. Enjoy the magnificent views on both sides. Also see Rumeli Fortress which was built by Sultan Mehmet the Conquerer as part of the preparations of his campaign to capture Istanbul. We land on the European side half way up the Bosphorus and drive to the restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we drive across the Bosphorus over the Bosphorus Bridge to Camlica Hill from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of Istanbul. Then continue to Beylerbeyi Palace. Built around 1860s, this was the summer residence of the Imperial family. After the tour, free time near the palace for shopping or relaxing.

FD-2  Highlights of Istanbul including lunch (per person)
Hippodromme, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar

First, we drive to the Hippodrome. Famous for chariot races, this Roman stadium dates back to the time of the Emperor Constantine the Great. Also see the Blue Mosque, probably the most impressive mosque in the world. Then visit the Hagia Sophia Museum which was originally built as a church then converted into a mosque after the conquest in the 15th C. One of the oldest ancient buildings on Earth, this is well worth a visit.
After lunch, visit Topkapı Palace, the imperial residence of the Ottomans. See the courtyards, a superb porcelain collection, the famous treasury, a collection of calligraphy, Sultan's costumes and the Holy Relics of Prophet Muhammed. Finish the day at Grand Bazaar where thousands of small shops are located. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
